My time as secretary of ISO/TC 10 will end on June 30. It has been a privilege to serve this important committee for over two decades.
It is very reassuring to know that Ms Andersson will remain on the team to make sure that all the administrative will continue to run as a clock.
I am also very pleased that Ms Ahlenblom will take on the role as committee manager with enthusiasm and of course the chair Mr Eriksson who will steer the committee.
The meeting series in Oslo has been successful. New work has been initiated and a important decisions for the future development of ISO/TC 10 were taken.
Many thanks to the hosts Standards Norway, especially Mr Jensen. Also, thanks to Mr Østad for the guided tour of the new parts of Oslo; the Deichmann library, the Munch museum and the Opera, plus the tasting menu of Norwegian food.
As always, the meetings have had a spirit of cooperation and willingness to reach agreement. Many thanks to the chair Mr Eriksson. When I started as secretary there was ongoing disputes with IEC/TC 3 and ISO/TC 213, disputes which we now have found ways to settle in an orderly manner.
In my years I have found many good friends in the work so it is with somewhat mixed feeling I now move on to the next stage of life.
I wish you all continued success in the work and all best wishes for the future.
