Scope
Standardization in the field of ICT and digitalization aspects for smart and sustainable cities and communities, including the development of the requirements, framework, guidance, techniques and tools, smart processes, and considerations associated with data and ontology to support the services of smart and sustainable cities and communities.
Excluded: Horizontal information technologies covered by ISO/IEC JTC 1.
Note 1: The deliverables include standards related to ICT framework, ICT measurement, smart processes, city digital platforms, data model, data processing, data management, data use, knowledge management and knowledge trustworthiness, ICT infrastructure, and the integration of enabling technologies (IoT, Cloud Computing, Big Data, AI, digital representation, etc.) in the context of smart and sustainable cities and communities.
Note 2: It develops standards on the ICT applications and services collaborating with ISO/IEC JTC 1 and other horizontal and vertical domain TCs and SCs in ISO, IEC, and elsewhere, and within JTC 4, respecting the expertise and leadership of the collaborated TCs and SCs.
Note 3: It includes the machine-readable standards supporting the construction and operation of smart and sustainable cities and communities associated with ISO/IEC SMART Program.
