Orphaned ANSI common names

Withdrawn ANSI names adopted by ISO

ANSI committee K62 and its predecessors published over 300 common names in separate standards, all of which have since been withdrawn.

Eight of these names were for compounds that did not also have ISO common names, and the withdrawal of the standards left them without authoritative definitions.

These eight names have now been adopted by ISO, and they will be published in the March 2026 update of the XML data set for ISO 1750:2023(E).
