New common name provisionally approved on 25th September 2026 for a benzoylpyrazole herbicide from Liaoning Cynda Chemical Co. Ltd. Chinese common name 双砜草酯.

If you wish to file an objection, for example because you consider that the name “prosulfopyzone” infringes on one of your company’s trademarks, please contact the Maintenance Agency no later than 25th March 2027. If no objections are received, then the name “prosulfopyzone” will become approved and will be included in a new edition of ISO 1750 that will include preferred names as well as common names.
