Approved ISO common name
New common name approved on 10th October 2026 for an isoxazoline insecticide from Shandong Kangqiao Bio-Technology.
4-[(5S)-5-(3,5-dichloro-4-fluorophenyl)-4,5-dihydro-5-(trifluoromethyl)-3-isoxazolyl]-2-methyl-N-[(1R)-1-methyl-2-oxo-2-[(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)amino]ethyl]benzamide [3085252-12-3]
The commercial product may contain up to 15% of the (5R,2R)-, (5R,2S)- and (5S,2S)-isomers.
No objections have been received for the name “isoxalanam”, so it has become approved and will be included in a new edition of ISO 1750 that will include preferred names as well as common names.
