The “CYS Standards Roadshow 2024” took place successfully on 15 October, 2024, in Nicosia-CYPRUS, under the auspices of the Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry, Mr. Georgios Papanastasiou. This conference, held for the first time in Cyprus, was organised by the Cyprus Organisation for Standardisation (CYS), with sponsorship from CYGAS (DEFA), the Department of Public Works, and VTT Vasiliko Ltd.
Participants attended from Cyprus, Greece, Australia, Korea, the USA, Norway, the UK, and China, as well as diplomatic representatives from the embassies of Israel and China in Cyprus. Distinguished experts from the USA, the UK, Israel, Cyprus, Australia, and Norway presented the latest developments in our region regarding hydrocarbons and the standardisation works for the oil and gas industry, as well as the implementation of standards in various regions of the world.
The success of the conference reflects CYS's commitment to promoting standardisation at both the national and regional levels, bolstered by the support of the relevant Governmental Ruling Authorities and industry stakeholders.
