An important subject that affects us all in one way or another. In Berlin, SC 15 decided to start new work on accessibility and usability.
SC 15 Framework for description of housing performance has established a new WG 7 "Accessibility and usability" under the convenorship of Prof. Satoshi Kose (Japan) to develop a preliminary work item on this topic. This will be the seventh part in the ISO 15928 series under the title Houses - Description of performance - Part 7: Accessibility and usability. The planned standard will be helpful in relation to housing policies and construction for population ageing and will benefit both housing manufacturers, authorities and consumers. Anyone interested in participating in the work of WG 7 can contact their national ISO member body to be registered as an expert.
