The ISO 10845 standards are currently under systematic review, which means that the member bodies can comment as to whether their content is up to date. Should you wish to provide input to the documents, please contact your national member body. The review closes on 15 December 2015.
The published ISO 10845 family of standards provides a number of procurement processes, procedures and methods primarily aimed at putting a contract in place and measuring key performance indicators relating to the participation of targeted enterprises and targeted labour in the performance of a contract. The objective of the procurement standards is to provide a generic and standard set of processes, procedures and methods for a procurement system that is fair, equitable, transparent, competitive and cost effective.
Any revision work will be undertaken in the new SC 18 Construction procurement, which is led by the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS). The SC 18 Chair is Dr Ron Watermeyer (South Africa).
