ISO/TC 59 Plenary Week 2016

On 4 to 11 October, ISO/TC 59 meets in Berlin for its biennial plenary week. In addition to the TC level, seven of our nine subcommittees with their working groups come together for an intensive eight days of meetings.

ISO/TC 59 has its plenary every two years, usually in October. In 2016, the committee will be meeting in Berlin, the vibrant capital of Germany. With more than 30 different meetings scheduled in eight days, it goes without saying that we are in for a busy week! This will also be a unique opportunity to make new contacts and strengthen existing ties. Together with our host DIN, we look forward to an event that we are sure will both inspire new, exciting projects and drive our existing work forward in a positive way.

The ISO/TC 59 secretariat has set up a website with practical information related to the meeting week. Here you will have access to the latest meeting schedule, get tips on transportation to and from the airport, be able to book a room at the recommended hotel, etc. This website also contains a page for meeting registration, where all meeting participants at all levels (TC/SC/WG) are requested to register via this website by 1 September at the latest.

Should you wish to join us in Berlin, please contact your national member body to be appointed as a national delegate. If you are interested in joining one of our working groups, your national member body will need to have you registered as a working group expert. Hope to see you in Berlin!
