In 2012, ISO developed a brochure about standardisation in the field of construction and how this is dealt with in ISO and its committees.
Being a horisontal committee with quite a broad scope, which means that our work often lays the foundation for other construction committees, ISO/TC 59 and its subcommittees were well represented in this ISO brochure. Several of our liaison committees and their activities were also described, and so this brochure serves to give a more holistic view of the standardisation work on construction going on in ISO. The full title is "ISO & construction - from traditional foundations to innovative technologies".
