ISO 33400:2026 Reference materials — Vocabulary
Harmonization of concepts and terms used in the field of reference materials (RMs) is key to agreed understanding of activities related to RMs. ISO 33400:2026 is the new International Standard that was prepared by transforming ISO Guide 30:2015 into an International Standard. The standard defines terms related to RMs, including basic terms such as RMs and certified reference materials (CRMs), and terms related to their production and use.
Following ISO Guide 30, ISO 33400 is expected to be the international foundation for all activities related to RMs, including their production and use.
