ISO 18646-3, Robotics — Performance criteria and related test methods for service robots — Part 3: Manipulation (draft)

This International Standard will describe methods of specifying and evaluating the manipulation performance of service robots.

This project was initiated to provide the evaluation procedure for manipulation of service robots, including finger strength, grasp strength, turning a door knob, and opening a door.

ISO 18646-3 is intended to facilitate understanding on manipulation performance of service robots between users and manufacturers. It defines the important performance characteristics, describes how they shall be specified, and recommends how they should be tested.
