CIPD focuses on business sustainability -- and its linkage to ISO Learning and Development

#ISOLearningAndDevelopment

The UK Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Annual Conference and Exhibition in November focused on Skills, Fairness and Productivity as the basis for long-term business sustainability and societal wellbeing. Peter Cheese, Chief Executive of CIPD joined other prominent figures from government and business to identify the need for a joint effort from policy and business communities to focus on the drivers of good business, positive change and sustainable productivity. Key issues raised at the conference and exhibition included the importance of identifying and dealing with organizational skills gaps; harnessing the power of self-directed learning and developing a learning philosophy to guide policy and action throughout the organization. These any many other issues are up for discussion as the #TC260 working group focused on #ISOlearninganddevelopment goes about the development of an International standard for learning and development in the workplace.
