John Shideler became Chair of SC4 in 2012.
Dr. Shideler’s expertise includes environmental, safety and health management systems consulting, training and auditing in a variety of industries. He is a certified greenhouse gas verifier/lead verifier (California Air Resources Board), environmental lead auditor (RABQSA), and Roundtable on Sustainable Biofuels auditor.
John is also President of Futurepast, Inc.
Leandri S. Kinabo

Leandri Kinabo became Vice Chair of ISO/TC 207/SC 4 in mid 2015. Leandri is a chemist by training, with a Masters in Chemistry from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM).
Leandri has previously served ISO/TC 207 as the Chair of the Developing Countries Contact Group (DCCG) between 2009 to 2014.
Mr Kinabo was Director of Standards Development, Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS), in the last four years until his retirement from government service in 2014. At the same time he was the national Secretary to the TC 207 National Mirror Committee. Leandri has extensive experience in the East Africa Community (EAC) of developing and harmonizing sub-regional standards over the last ten years. Between 2011 to 2014 he was an Executive Committee member of the Southern African Development Community Cooperation in Standardization (SADCSTAN), a regional body comprising 14 countries. He was the Chair of SADCSTAN between 2011 to 2012.
Presently he is with Ardhi University, Tanzania, where he teaches courses in environmental chemistry. He is also a trainer in Environment, Standardization and Quality Assurance.
Natalia Drault

Ing. Natalia Drault was Vice Chair of ISO/TC 207/SC4 from 2009 to 2014.
Natalia is Energy and Environmental Affairs Manager at Instituto Argentino de Normalización y Certificación (IRAM). She has served as Mentor for ISO E Learning Course since 2007.
Ing. Drault is also active in ISO/TC 224, Service activities relating to drinking water supply systems and wastewater systems - Quality criteria of the service and performance indicators. She is Co-Convenor of working group ISO/TC 224/WG 5, Examples of the application of ISO 24510, 24511 and 24512 standards.
Natalia is currently a Senior Environmental Advisor, and also an Adjunct Professor at the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA).
Joe Cascio

Joe Cascio was the Chair of ISO/TC 207/SC4 from 2005 to 2013.
Joe was chairman of the U.S. Technical Advisory Group on the ISO 14000 series of standards from 1991 to 2003 and served as the lead U.S. negotiator in ISO/TC 207.
Joe worked with IBM from 1970 to 1996 and the Federal Environmental Executive within the Council on Environmental Quality of the Executive Office of the President in 2008-2009. He has co-chaired the U.S. Liaison Group for Management System Standards since 1994 and is a member of the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) Accreditation Council. He has worked a consultant in both the public and private sectors developing and implementing environmental management systems.
Joe Cascio is currently a visiting scholar in the Department of Engineering Management and Systems Engineering, School of Engineering and Applied Science, and co-director of the Environmental and Energy Management Institute (EEMI) at George Washington University.
Luis A. Trama

Ing. Luis Trama was Vice Chair of ISO/TC 207/SC4 from 2005 to 2009.
Luis Trama is currently Director for International Relations and Cooperation at Instituto Argentino de Normalización y Certificación (IRAM).
Ing. Trama holds a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). He has over 25 years of experience in different areas of iron and steel making, such as production, raw material, energy and environment in the iron industry and in the Instituto Argentino de Siderurgia. Luis serves as Technical Secretary for Environment of the Advisory Committee for the Board of Directors of the Instituto Latinoamericano de Siderurgia, since 1992. He is the representative of IRAM to the MERCOSUR group 6 and Committee 16 on normalization. He has also been designated to represent Argentina at the ISO/TC 207 Technical Committee on different issues related to environment and certification, including climate change, environmental management and quality and hydrogen technologies, among others.
Ing. Trama is also a professor of engineering at the Catholic University (UCA) and at the National Technological University of Argentina (UTN).
Dorothy Bowers
Past and First Chair

Dorothy Bowers served as the first Chair of ISO/TC 207/SC 4, from its inception in 1993 until her retirement in 2004.
Ms. Bowers, a chemical engineer, was Vice President of Environmental Policy when she retired from Merck & Co., Inc, at the end of 1999 after 25 years with the company. At Merck she led the development of the environmental department and initiated public environmental reporting beginning in the early 1990s which led to the company's first Sustainability Report. On retirement she was invited to be, and served a three-year term, as chair of the National Advisory Council on Environmental Policy and Technology.
In 2014, ASQ (American Society for Quality) awarded Dorothy with the Freund-Marquardt Medal in recognition of her outstanding leadership and dedication in the development of international standards, and for her significant and substantial contributions in the fields of quality management, environmental management and social responsibility.
