Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Labour - National Standards Samoa (MCIL-NSS) operates as a unit within the Fair-Trading Division of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Labour (MCIL). MCIL is a legally constituted Ministry of the Government of Samoa under the Ministerial and Departmental Arrangements Act 2003.

MCIL-NSS is the body responsible for developing standards for non-food items and for Samoa’s participation in ISO. MCIL-NSS carries out national standardization activities within its mandate, including adoption of international standards as national standards, in accordance with its Standardization Guide.
