What is TC 67?
ISO Technical Committee 67 harmonizes and manages worldwide standards regarding the oil & gas industry. Its purpose is to achieve (international) conformity of oil and gas products. Members of this committee are industry professionals, from many different countries, with different professional backgrounds. They all share a common interest in the developments within the industry regarding safety, uniformity and/or the international application of their products. Together, they work on reaching common grounds where possible.
More specifically, TC 67 develops standards regarding materials, equipment and offshore structures used in drilling, production, transport by pipelines and processing of liquid and gaseous hydrocarbons within the petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries. Excluded are aspects of offshore structures subject to IMO requirements (ISO/TC 8).
This website provides information for all those interested in the technical developments within the oil & gas industry. ISO/TC 67 provides standards for a variety of stakeholders along the value chain. These standards encompass all facilities, equipment and operations within the upstream, midstream, downstream and petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas business categories. Usual stakeholders include, among others, operators, suppliers, contractors, drilling companies and regulators. You will find activities and documentation regarding standards development, adjustment and how to participate in these processes further on this website.
